PLEASANT VALLEY RESCUE RANCH
A Horse Sanctuary
The Vision
Our vision for PVRR is to provide shelter and support to unwanted horses, both temporarily in anticipation of adoption and permanently for those not attractive to adopters
Southwestern Pennsylvania's Only Horse Rescue and Sanctuary
OUR MISSION
Our Ranch serves as a foster home, orphanage, retirement home and palliative care retreat for unwanted horses and ponies, regardless of age, breed or condition.
We rescue unwanted horses and ponies from abuse, neglect, starvation, abandonment and targets for slaughter. We provide normal and restorative health care, normal care and maintenance, retraining where practical and make a tireless effort to make our rescues become attractive adoptees to prospective, approved owners.
Our rescues that are not suitable adoptees because of health, age, handicaps or management issues are free to remain with us for their remaining life. Horses are encouraged to run free in our fenced pastures; when healthy, they live in spacious and clean run-in sheds or stalls open directly to the pastures. When
health is below normal or the weather is exceptionally poor, our horses can stay in spacious clean individual stalls (12 ft by 16 ft) as they like.

Rescue Inspection...
"This facility is excellent. A personal rescue of my own is housed here. The horses have excellent care in a 'dream' setting. Any problems that occur are addressed STAT."
